Knife #1

This was the first knife I ever finished. The blade is 440C and the handle scales are oak. I shaped the blade using a cheap 4"X36" belt sander from home depot. For my first few knives I had not found knife making supply places yet, so the handle scales are fastened on with a modified T nut and a small bolt, available at any hardware store. Crude, but functional, and it is quite a cutter! TKS did my heat treat and they do a great job for a reasonable price.
