Knife #3

This knife I made for my brother, who took it to Alaska and put it to the test fishing on Kodiak Island. These photos were taken after years of use and abuse. He has cut baleen from a whale carcass, talons of from an eagle carcass (sshhhh, not legal :) ) and gutted numerous fish, not to mention every day use!! When he returned the edge needed just a touch up, oh did I mention that this is the first one I heat treated myself!! My brother has been very impressed with the edge retention and the overall durability of the knife! Good sign for me!!
The blade is 5/32" thick 154cm steel, with curly bubbinga scales.
